Karene Richards is a capital markets expert and women’s advocate with over 15 years experience in the investment banking industry. Karene most notably built the first Carbon Finance model for the World Bank in addition to a student loan backed security restructuring model that generated $25M. She received a Masters of Financial Mathematics and Statistics from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Howard University. Karene is the former CEO of The Association For Women In Science a 100,000 member and affiliates organization. Currently, in addition to her role as CEO of The Karene Group, she serves as the Finance Chair of the National Governing Board of the Association for Women in Science and is an Advisory Board Member for FinTech 4 Good.
